Dr. Luke Stringer, DC. Clinical Director/Owner

Luke Stringer, D.C.Dr. Luke Stringer, DC hails from Manchester England. He completed his doctorate at the ‘fountain head’ of Chiropractic, Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Luke attended Palmer on a sporting scholarship, where he ran the colleges prestigious rugby program. During his time at Palmer Dr. Luke guided the school through one it’s most successful periods on the playing field, attending the final four three years consecutively, finishing third each time.

Before attending Palmer College Dr. Luke received a Bsc w/ Hons in Sports Science from Northumbria University, while also playing professional rugby for the Newcastle Falcons. After graduating university Dr. Luke played professional rugby for a total of 9 years, taking him all around the world.

After graduation Dr. Luke ran a sports performance chiropractic clinic in the South Bay community of L.A. where he worked with Olympic Gold Medalists in beach VB, MLB and NHL professional athletes.

Upon moving back to the Midwest Dr. Luke and his wife Dr. Cassie purchased Advanced Health Chiropractic and have garnered a reputation of being the premier chiropractic and physical therapy clinic in the south loop community helping over 10,000 patients to date from all walks of life get out of pain and live without restriction. Advanced Health combines a unique blend of Chiropractic Care, Physical Therapy and medical services while also utilizing evidence based approach of Chiropractic called Chiropractic Bio Physics offering both objective and long term results.

Dr. Luke is a firm believer that the body is designed to move and we should all be able to move without pain or compensation. This is why Advanced Health focuses on finding the root cause of their patient’s health issue through state-of-the-art objective testing and imaging allowing the patient to be given a clear diagnosis and a customized plan of action to correcting their health issue quickly and effectively for the long term.

Dr. Luke is married to his wife Dr. Cassie who he owns the practice with. They have two boys, Jude and George and a French Bulldog called Sergei. They love spending time outside, especially on the lake, eating great food and traveling and experiencing different cultures.

Dr. Cassie Stringer, DC. Administrative Director/Owner

Dr. Cassie StringerDr. Cassie Stringer in a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She completed her doctorate at the ‘fountain head’ of Chiropractic, Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. During her time at Palmer Dr. Cassie visited Vietnam on mission work with the college’s clinic abroad program, where she got to spend time in a children’s orphanage assisting their medical team. This is where Dr. Cassie’s passion for pediatric care began.

Before attending Palmer Dr. Cassie attended the University of Iowa, where she studied Biology. During her time at Iowa she played and coached Tennis.

Upon graduating Palmer Dr. Cassie continued her professional career to Europe and then Newport Beach, CA. where she ran a pediatric clinic specializing in pediatrics, Pre and Post-natal care.

She returned to Chicago with her husband, Dr. Luke and purchased Advanced Health and focuses her treatment hours around the care of pregnant moms and infant babies educating them on a natural form of healthcare. She believes that health care today is not one size fits all and should be approached from a conservative aspect first. She believes that educating patients to be able to take charge of their health through conservative treatment of the human frame and nervous system provides them with options and choices to live a healthy fulfilled life.

Dr. Cassie loves to spend time with her family, which includes Dr. Luke, Jude, George and Sergei the frenchie. When Dr. Cassie has time away from the clinic she loves to spend time outside, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. Matthew Lahey, Associate Doctor

Matthew LaheyDr. Lahey grew up 30 miles southwest of the city in Homer Glen. He attended Undergrad at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. While attending, he was a member of the Sports Medicine Club and was president and captain of the rugby team. After graduating, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA continuing his rugby career while earning his Doctorate.

Dr. Lahey’s philosophy for health is in treating causes instead of symptoms and optimizing health through the body’s natural healing process.

Outside of the office Dr. Lahey enjoys spending time with friends and family. As well as playing sports such as rugby, basketball, and golf.

 

Dr. Kennedi Pierce, Associate Doctor

Dr. Kennedi Pierce is a native of Chicago, but grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to chiropractic school, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Exercise Sciences, with a minor in public health, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  Following graduation, she attended National University Of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, where she acquired her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Her goal is to deliver effective patient education and provide a holistic form of care that allows the body to heal itself instead of using temporary solutions that ultimately mask one’s symptoms.

In her spare time, Dr. Kennedi enjoys spending time with her dog, exercising, reading books,  painting and exploring Chicago.

 

Timbolin Holmes, Nurse Practitioner

Timbolin HolmesTimbolin has been a nurse for over 28 years in various capacities and has worked as a nurse practitioner for over eleven years. During this time, she has amassed a wealth of different skills and experiences that have afforded the ability to supply a rich insight and perspective on topics and issues affecting patient care today. Timbolin has multiple nursing certifications and attends continuing education courses to keep current with the most up-to-date evidenced-based practice protocols. She has contributed to the future nursing workforce as a nursing instructor/adjunct faculty member/professor for associate-degree candidates, baccalaureate-degree candidates and masters-degree candidates as well as providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the clinical setting as a nurse practitioner.

Timbolin obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree in Acute Care with Emergency Medicine Concentration from Loyola University Chicago’s Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing in 2011; Associates in Applied Science, Nursing degree from Joliet Junior College in 1993; and Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago in 1986.

In her spare time, Timbolin volunteers whenever possible and has been a team member of the Illinois Medical Emergency Response Team/Illinois Nurse Volunteer Emergency Needs Team for many years. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, and Mu Zeta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. serving as the recording secretary.

Timbolin is married for over 31 years to her college sweetheart and they have two adult daughters. She has lived in Bolingbrook, Illinois since 1989, but grew up in Plainfield, NJ and Chicago’s Hyde Park. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, dancing, cooking, going to the movies, museums, theatre, concerts, ballet, fine cuisine, golfing, bowling, playing Scrabble, painting, and traveling when time permits.

LaTessa Landers, Front of House Office Clerk

LaTessa was previously a Center Director for a Childcare Facility in Chicago where she started 15 years ago as a Assistant Teacher working her way to Lead Teacher and spent 5 years as Center Director.

LaTessa enjoys interacting with and meeting new people. Goal here at Advanced Health Chiropractic is to build long lasting relationship with our patients and get to know them on a one on one level and educate them on the benefits of Chiropractic care.

When not in the office, LaTessa enjoys spending time with her most proud achievements, which are her children. Jessica (25), Ja’Mar (24), Da’Quan (21), De’Shon (20), Demarion (16) and her grandson, Gregory (3).

In her spare time, LaTessa enjoys writing poetry, reading books and listening to old school R+ B music.

Rivera Edmond, PT Aide

Rivera EdmondRivera is from Chicago’s Southside where he grew up in its historic neighborhood Bronzeville. There he excelled in sports such as basketball and the 800m relay. After high school, Rivera used his experience as an athlete to acquire his Personal Training certification and became a role model to student athletes from his high school at Thornton Fractional South. He has in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology and uses these skills on a day-to-day basis to help assist many patients drastically improve their function throughout their everyday life.

In addition to working at Advanced Health, Rivera is actively pursuing his business degree at Chicago’s renowned University of Illinois Chicago.

Rivera is one of seven children and grew up putting a great emphasis on the value of family and togetherness. He shares two children Rajaa and Yassir with his wife Najlaa. During his time away from the office, he enjoys exploring new coffee shops around the city and trying new foods.

 

Leslie Martinez, PT Aide

Leslie MartinezLeslie is one of the Rehabilitation Technicians focused on providing optimal support to all patients. She offers a deep understanding of therapeutic exercise, positive upbeat personality, and excellent communication skills. Leslie was born and raised in Illinois where she grew up in a small town named Cicero. Leslie is on track to pursue a career as a radiologist technician because she is very interested in learning, helping, and better understanding the body and how it functions. As a rehabilitation technician, Leslie looks forward to providing care to all patients on a day-to-day basis. She believes in successful results from chiropractic care and absolutely loves being able to see patients walk out of our office pain free!

In her free time, Leslie loves to travel and socialize with new people! She has a cat named Luna and a dog named Baby who she treats like her own children. Leslie believes in high spiritual practices and does plenty of meditation as well as journaling. Leslie enjoys being active and healthy by working out 3 times a week and looks forward to achieving her fitness goals.

 

Elijah Monjaras, PT Aide

Elijah MonjarasElijah is from Chicago, Illinois, raised in the Humboldt Park area. Growing up, he played soccer and then got into track and field in high school. After high school, he attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where he studied and received his degree in Kinesiology. During his time there, Elijah also played on the men’s club soccer team competing against the best teams in the nation.

With a deep passion for exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Elijah joins the Advanced Health Chiropractic team ready to make an  everlasting impact in the healthcare field. His ultimate goals are to get accepted into Chiropractic school, graduate, and be the first in his family to become a doctor.

In his free time, Elijah enjoys playing competitive soccer around the Chicagoland area. When he’s not being active, he enjoys playing Call of Duty and the occasional netflix show. He also loves being with his dogs, Fox and Izzy.
